National CoSTAR lab to be based in Buckinghamshire

Buckinghamshire Local Enterprise Partnership (Bucks LEP), as a core partner, is delighted that Royal Holloway, University of London is the preferred bidder for the national Convergent Screen Technologies and performance in Realtime (CoSTAR) lab, which is to be based in Buckinghamshire.

This announced, as part of the government’s Creative Industries Sector Vision to maximise the potential of the UK creative industries, supports Bucks LEP’s strategy to support the research and pioneering development capabilities of Buckinghamshire’s creative industries, in particular to ensure we have the skills and infrastructure to stay on the cutting-edge of new virtual production techniques in film, TV and live events.
